SURCARPONE is a beige, undyed monofilament suture made from polydioxanone, offering high tensile strength, excellent handling, and knot security. It provides smooth tissue passage and minimal tissue reaction, ideal for general soft tissue closure in various surgical specialties.

Absorption
- The hydrolytic action by which the material is broken down results in total absorption in approximately 180 to 210 days.
- The material retains approximately 70% of its initial tensile strength at the end of fourth week.
- Approximately 50% of tensile strength remain after six weeks.

Contradictions
Cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery and prosthetic devices.
Since it is an absorbable suture;
It should not to use when an extended wound support is required.

- SURCARPONE is available with needles in one dozen boxes.
